#fillittotherim! That's how you may ask the bartender to fill your glasses up to the edge – but we are asking you to fill our stadium up to the very last seat. We need to be sold out – in a fantasy match against being wiped off Germany's football map. Our aim isn't 5.000 or 10.000 – we need to sell 22.528 tickets! Just as we did one year ago, when we played Weiche Flensburg in the playoffs and got promoted into 3. Liga. After being relegated again, we need to make it happen again – and every cent matters to ensure Energie's financial future. Most of our long-standing and loyal sponsors assured their further commitment, but still our economical situation is quite a tough one.
Right after being relegated, we received lots of encouraging words and offers of assistance, there were appeals for help and donations. Whereas Zwickau and Erfurt received Dortmund, Mönchengladbach and Dynamo Dresden for charity matches, and the great FC Bayern Munich came for supporting Kaiserslautern, in the Lausitz area people need to find their own ways. And we go a different one!
Energie Cottbus is asking all of you, the club's members and fans, the numerous loyal sponsors, partners and supporters, anyone who can just spare some money to attend the upcoming fantasy match. The virtual date will be the 54th birthday of our beloved club, 31st of January 2020, kickoff will be 7:66 p.m. - or: 19:66, the foundation year of Energie Cottbus – and you can purchase tickets at all our ticket agents' and also on tickets.fcenergie.de for the price of 19,66€. Don't want to come alone? Fine! You can buy as many tickets as you like – but any single one matters.
In the Lausitz region we're well aware that maintaining Cottbus a place for professional football cannot be taken for granted and won't be easy at all, not after being relegated again. Our region is facing even more challenging issues, such as structural changes or the coming termination of the coal mining. Coming promising projects may take many years to take effect. Which may be too late for our beloved club! We need to act now, and we need your help!
Get yourself a ticket. Maybe get some for your friends', too! You may need your wife's permission to attend a football match?! Not for this one! Always wanted to attend a football match in Germany? It will never be easier than this way!
